REVIEW: Midnight – Rebirth by Blasphemy

Review by Shane Boylan

Midnight’s fourth infernal offering opens up with a primal grunt from sole driving force Athenar.

The unrelenting viciousness does not stop for anyone over the 34 minutes of his Black n Roll onslaught. All the raw traits we’ve come to expect from the Cleveland outfit are here with the blend of speed / black metal and punk but perhaps the sounds are slightly more hi-fi this time with some classic rock seeping through.

The album’s misanthropic lyrics together with its filthy subject matter; we take an unholy ride into darkness and perhaps with this offering Midnight will emerge from the underground and complete their reign of terror.
