Dark Interiors: David Lynch

Is it symbolism or modern interiors? Do we dress a set to symbolise the inner feelings of the characters or is it all just a mere reflection of their tastes?

It’s hard to say anything is correct when discussing the work of David Lynch. He is a very “it is what it is” person but many have dissected his work and looked at it under their rather over-zealous microscope. It is left up to us an audience to decide, we choose what we choose because that is how we see it, it is how we interpret it as an individual. Ultimately, it is all part of the cinematic experience.

The dark interiors of Lynch include the foreboding empty spaces, the simple black lamp in the corner of the room, the nostalgic sofa; we look at our favourite sets from the work of David Lynch.
