Judging by some of the reactions to the latest Halloween trailer at Comic-Con and the wildfire of excitement that is running through the horror camp right now; we are all in for a treat.
It has to be said that many of the dedicated Halloween fans may have had their ups and downs with the franchise over the years, I know I have and nothing really prepared me for the terrible Rob Zombie remakes (sorry Rob, keep making music). I am hoping, with John Carpenter involved, this will not disappoint any of the fans of the original film. He serves as a composer, executive producer and creative consultant together with – wait for it – Nick Castle coming back as Michael Myers (fan girl scream) plus the brilliant Jamie Lee Curtis playing Laurie Strode. To add to all this, if you can take it, the Michael mask looks fantastic, and is as scary as it looked in the original film. Initially my thoughts are “this going to be amazing” and I am counting down the days to see this.
And one more thing, this is a direct sequel from the original Halloween film back in 1978 (everyone take a sign of relief) so that is a bit of an extra surprise.
Have a look at the trailer, it’ll give your goosebumps – Michael is BACK!
